Beijer plays Beethoven

Thomas Beijer is one of the most versatile Dutch musicians of this generation. Not only is he an exceptional pianist, as demonstrated by his recent debut in the prestigious Master Pianists series at the Royal Concertgebouw and the fact that he has already been invited back again, he is also a successful composer and writer. Dutch newspaper Volkskrant praised the authenticity of his performance, calling it anything but ‘all style and no substance’. To celebrate Beethoven 2020, Thomas dedicates this entire piano recital to the maestro, performing two of his sonatas, including his last, the famous but demanding Opus 111. And, to change things up a little in between, while staying in Vienna, Schumann’s gorgeous Faschingsschwank.
